Here are what the BT led's are supposed to look like in the following modes:
Discovery mode (ready to be paired) - BT1 and BT2 flashing ALTERNATELY, constantly.


Paired mode (currently connected) - BT1 flashes 3 times in a row then pause; BT2 is off.


If BT1 and BT2 are flashing TOGETHER AT THE SAME TIME (3 times, then nothing), the RN52 is in DFU mode (used for updating its firmware; rarely used)
