I did a quick lookup of Saablin's code. It looks like that code intercepts the default SPA -> SID text ("SAAB PARK ASSIST") and tells that this text shouldn't be displayed. Then it alters the text and sends it over to SID. If I'm not mistaken, Tomi did the same thing within his OpenTech project. So intercepting and altering messages works. We should be able to do it the "Jedi way" and leave the SPA -> SID functionality intact just to avoid any problems for people having SPA installed on their car. :)
