There is a definite difference between early facelift and the later facelift 9-5's - I had Saablin working faultlessly on an '03 - scrolling song titles and so on, yet the same on an '05 (shark nose), I had the flashing and delays.  

It almost points to a change in the way the messages are interpreted and displayed in later models. I couldn't say for certain if it was anything to do with the change to the SID (upper case vs lower case).  
Incidentally, my iPod bluesaab exhibited the same issues....

Maybe something and nothing...

Ziq, do you have the Kenwood based nav or the Denso?
