So when you say you are able to communicate through serial, does that mean you are seeing all the "welcome" messages, but RN52 doesn't wake up? If so, you should be able to push RN52 into discoverable mode by pressing "V" while connected to BlueSaab via serial (FTDI/USB).

If that doesn't work, the RN52 programming code can be fetched from here: https://github.com/kveilands/RN52-BT-PRG

Once uploaded and serial connection opened, you should see a "CMD" message appearing. That will let you know that RN52 has "woken up".
