Good point on the input to the CD changer, that wouldn't make any kind of sense.

At this point I'm going to just play with the mic on a component level as I don't have a BlueSaab or even an RN52. Sounds like there may be some unusual bits stuck to the mic, so I'll learn what that's about and go from there.
