Workbench radio/SID test set-up

Hi all,

To try some hardware modifications in my 9-3 head unit (1999) it would be very convenient to have a kind of a workbench test set-up with a radio unit, SID, power supply and speakers that you can work on without each time having to test the final set-up in a car.

Did not try it yet but because of the required marriage to the car VIN, I assume the radio unit and SID (either married or unmarried) will not work when not connected in the car.

I guess with developing & testing the BlueSaab unit such test set-up would be very helpful as well so does anyone of you have that working / can give more details how to make it ?
