iOS microphone blocked while CDC is connected.

sloth
Just an idea,..

Right now the CDC is acting as a bluetooth headset an both the audio in and out are routed over bluetooth. Would it be possible to let it be recognised as a bluetooth speaker instead? That way the microphone would still work for siri stuff on iOS.

I guess we could do that. For that we would need to change the "Class of Device" (COD) value. I can give it a test...

Class of Device is a setting on RN52 Bluetooth chip. The command for setting it is "SC,<class of device>".

For now it's set to "SC,200420".

Here's a CoD calculator that I found on the web, but haven't tested yet...

You might need to change SD and SK settings as well to enable HFP Bluetooth profile. Otherwise during connection negotiation between BlueSaab and your phone, they will default to A2DP which disables microphone control.

The SD and SK setting should be "16" in that case.
